Llamasoft were based in Tadley, Hampshire, England and the company was a family-run business. Jeff Minter wrote the games, his mum and dad helped with distribution. Llamasoft are kind of legendary. Writing without doubt, the best games for the Vic-20, Jeff Minter stamped his (and his companys') identity all over each game release, the starring role going on numerous occasions to mutant camels, spitting llamas and jumping goat-type thingies.. Llamasoft tended to be loved or loathed by the press but for pure, full-on blasting you'd be hard pushed to find better games. Even now, I think Ancipital, Batalyx, Hover Bovver and the Psychedelia-type releases have stood the test of time, there really isn't much out there of their kind... Llamasoft were a pretty groovy company as well - they sent you posters, they were *very* visible at computer shows (cue: teenage smokers zoning in on Floyd..), they kept their prices down and they also seemed interested in what ye lowly consumer had to say about their products. Llamasoft also published a newsletter called 'The Nature Of The Beast'. Jeffs' comments make for good reading and you can find 3 issues in text format at the bottom of this page. All of the games I've found are listed below, sorted by machine. Unless noted, Jeff wrote them all.

Jeff published a free newsletter called 'The Nature Of The Beast'. Here, in text format, are issues 1, 2 and 3.
Here is an interview Jeff did with ST News Disk Magazine in February 1987. And here is one from Your Computer in August 1987. You can download a zipped .mov file snippet of Jeff talking here - it's 15 seconds long and 1.08 mb.
OK, it's not *the* Flossy, but a suitable addition I thought, nonetheless. It's a 329 kb ZIP and you can get it here.
